Come Away With Me
An invitation for a little adventure
Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about what happens after a memoir leaves your hands and begins belonging to other people too.
Over the past year, Dancing on My Own Two Feet has continued finding readers in ways I never expected — awards, reviews from strangers, messages from women who saw parts of themselves in the story, and even a Times Square billboard.
And somewhere in the middle of all of that, book two has slowly been emerging.
Not neatly.
Not linearly.
More like a recalibration.
Which has inspired me to create a few small, meaningful gatherings around the themes that seem to keep finding their way into my writing:
reinvention, creativity, identity, and navigating the adventures of midlife.
So I’m experimenting with two intimate “Come Away With Me” gatherings later this year.
One in New York in early October — centered around celebration, visibility, and a bit of a Times Square do-over after the original billboard experience didn’t quite go as planned and I missed seeing it live. The evening will include dinner and conversation with a very small group of women.
And one in Southern California around New Year’s — a quieter and more reflective gathering for a few women navigating seasons of recalibration and change.
Truthfully, these gatherings also feel like a way of midwifing book two into the world in community rather than isolation.
Lately I’ve been wondering how many of us are quietly recalibrating something:
our identity,
our work,
our creativity,
our relationships,
our sense of home,
our definition of success,
or simply the pace at which we want to live.
What in your life are you currently recalibrating?
If either gathering speaks to you, reply to this message and I’ll share more details as they come together.
I’m keeping both experiences intentionally small and intimate.
For the world needs who we were made to be!

Love this idea. What about a Colorado gathering?
I would love to know more Jenn T!! And congratulations on this amazing journey as an award-winning published author. You inspire me!💖
